Greeting

A New Japanese Language Education Towards A New Era

Our school has accepted international students from more than 35 countries and various areas since it opened. After their graduation, most of our students go on to Japanese universities, graduate schools, professional training colleges, and the others work at not only the local companies in Japan, but also at Japanese companies in their home countries. Then, they have been making great achievements in their respective places. In addition, our educational activities have the following 5 features in order to stay close to our students and connect with the local community.
No.1: To acquire ability to convey one's thoughts and feelings in Japanese, ability to think, ability to discuss in Japanese, and to develop ability to connect with people and society.
No.2: To support students’ life in Japan and guide each student carefully as “a caring school”.
No.3: To have specialized field courses such as EJU exam preparation courses aimed to enroll top universities and Japanese language for caring course linked to internships.
No.4: To carry out programs of implement advanced human resource development with enhanced scholarships in collaboration with local companies and social welfare corporations.
No.5: To have unified education of business, tourism, computers, and caring that makes use of the group strength of Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology, Hamamatsu Mirai Professional Training Colleges and other colleges.
In addition, our school has set up a “Teacher Training Course and a “Research Center for Japanese Language Education”. We further deepen cooperation with governments, companies, educational institutions, create a new symbiotic society and contribute to the local community and the world.
We do hope all of our students will achieve their aims one by one and live a meaningful student life that makes their dreams come true by having connection with various people and society.

Education Goal
Our school's goal is to contribute to the development of international exchange by educating Japanese to foreigners, educating Japanese culture and custom as well, and seeking for international understanding of culture between Japan and the national origin.
The type or person we will raise
We aim for mastering "ability of communicating", "ability of thinking" which is sent in Japanese by itself, and "ability of conversing" for understanding other people, and raise a person who can choose their course of future they wish to go on by learning Japanese culture, custom and human relations and acquire true "Japanese ability", "academic ability" and "human ability" through Japanese.

May 1940 Shizuoka-ken Driving School opened
April 1956 Auto Mechanic Department is added to Shizuoka-ken Driving School 
April 1963 Shizuoka –ken Automobile High School established
July 1970 Shizuoka Professional Training College of Industrial Technology is spun off from Shizuoka-ken Driving School
June 1977 Seiryo Senior High School joins the Group
April 1980 Shizuoka-ken Automobile High School is renamed Shizuoka Kita Senior High School
April 1983 Numazu Professional Training College of Information Technology opens
September 1984 Shizuoka Professional School of Culture joins the Group
April 1985 Hamamatsu Professional Training College of Information Technology opens
July 1990 Shizuoka Automobile Academy, an incorporated educational institution, is separated from the Incorporated educational institution, Shizuoka-ken Automobile Academy
December 1990 Shizuoka-ken Automobile Academy is renamed Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology
April 1991 Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology (SIST) commences operation
April 1996 SIST commences graduate programs
April 1997 Shizuoka Professional School of Culture is renamed Shizuoka Professional Training College of Design
April 2008 Shizuoka Professional Training College of International Communication, Airline, and Resort opens; Shizuoka Professional Training College of Design, Hamamatsu Campus opens 
April 2010 Shizuoka Kita Junior High School opens; Numazu Professional Training College of Information Technology is renamed Numazu Professional Training College of Business and Information Technology
April 2011 Seiryo Junior High School opens

April 2011 Hamamatsu Japan Language College Opened (Admission Capacity: 100 students)
